When God speaks, listen; when God commands, obey; when God leads, follow.
Think about this. God loves us, and He knows what is best for us, so He wants us to follow His precepts. But He won’t force us to do so. He could have made us like robots that would automatically follow His directions. But He didn’t. God gave us a free will, and we can decide for ourselves whether we will obey His commandments and follow His divine principles.
You shouldn’t have to pop a cranial corpuscle to decide whether you should follow God’s plan for your life. Let’s see…He knows everything (that’s a good start), He loves you (so He’s got your best interest in mind), and He is wholly holy (so there is no risk of Him being devious with advice). Those seem like pretty good credentials, don’t they?
“Therefore whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock: and the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house; and it did not fall, for it was founded on the rock.” -Matthew 7:24-25 NKJV
