Put Your Faith In Motion!

Lord My Rock:David

We must exercise our faith!  If you pray and ask for guidance, yet hear nothing…. step out in faith. He will close doors and lead you in the way He wants you to go. It will become clear as you step out in faith.  We must put our faith into action.

In Joshua 14:14 you can read how the people of Israel crossed the Jordan. The priests carried the ark of the covenant. It was not until they had stepped into the river that the Lord held back the waters. The priests had to act in faith to see the miracle happen.

Is there something that you have prayed about, yet it still seems unclear?  God has certainly heard your petitions.  He will honor your desire to do His will and faithfully lead you in the way you should go. Step out in faith.  Take one step at a time but put your faith in motion.

So it was, when the people set out from their camp to cross over the Jordan, with the priests bearing the ark of the covenant before the people, and as those who bore the ark came to the Jordan, and the feet of the priests who bore the ark dipped in the edge of the water (for the Jordan overflows all its banks during the whole time of harvest), that the waters which came down from upstream stood still, and rose in a heap very far away at Adam, the city that is beside Zaretan. So the waters that went down into the Sea of the Arabah, the Salt Sea, failed, and were cut off; and the people crossed over opposite Jericho. Then the priests who bore the ark of the covenant of the Lord stood firm on dry ground in the midst of the Jordan; and all Israel crossed over on dry ground, until all the people had crossed completely over the Jordan.

  1. I’ve heard people say ‘you do not have enough faith,’ as if the quantity is the issue. God’s ways are not mans ways, and it’s usually the opposite.

God wants our little faith, aimed in the right direction… In other words, my faith is not great, but God is. ‘Silver and gold, have I none, but such as I have I give thee…’ Peter had faith in God’s ability to heal, as a matter of fact, a certain man said:

‘Lord I believe, help thou my unbelief.’ Some great insight into the heart of man with this statement so often overlooked. There is much in little when God is involved.

    • Thanks for your comment Naked Truth2. Indeed, the faith of a mustard seed can move a mountain…. if only put in action. We must take that first step of faith!

This is the day the Lord has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it. Psalm 118:24
