Refine Us, Oh Lord!

“I will bring the one–third through the fire,
Will refine them as silver is refined,
And test them as gold is tested.
They will call on My name,
And I will answer them.
I will say, ‘This is My people’;
And each one will say, ‘The Lord is my God.” Zechariah 13:9 (NKJV)

It is so hard to see those we love suffer!!

Sometimes, bad decisions and sin are the cause of their suffering. Other times, like in the book of Job, trials and struggles are sent by God to test and refine. We don’t have to know all the whys.

When we believe in the true character of God, we are able to accept our sufferings and those sufferings our loved ones must bear. Faith in God’s love and faithfulness will equip us with patient endurance.

Love the one you are anxious about today and pray that God accomplishes His work completely. May His refining fire bring the dross to the surface of their lives and purify them. Praise God, who transforms His children into vessels of beauty for His service!
